The entrepreneurial initiatives are critical in ensuring optimal welfare of police personnel by providing supplementary income, improving economic stability, and enhancing overall quality of life. The study investigated the relationship between entrepreneurial initiatives and police welfare of Kampala Metropolitan Area (KMA). It was guided by four specific objectives: to examine the influence of poultry farming on household savings among police households in KMA, assess the contribution of goat rearing to household income among police households in KMA, establish the effect of piggery projects on household consumption among police households in KMA, and ascertain the impact of vegetable greenhouses on household assets among police households in KMA. The study targeted a population of 210 police households, from which a representative sample of 132 respondents was randomly selected. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining self-administered questionnaires and in-depth interviews to collect data. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize the data, while inferential statistics were applied to analyze correlations and regression models. The study concludes that there is a significant and positive relationship between various entrepreneurial initiatives and the police welfare of police households in Kampala Metropolitan Area. Specifically, the findings reveal strong correlations between poultry farming and household savings (r = 0.756), goat rearing and household income (r = 0.822), piggery project and household consumption (r = 0.736), and vegetable greenhouse and household assets (r = 0.881). Furthermore, the regression analysis indicates that investing in these projects can lead to significant improvements in household savings, income, consumption, and assets, with beta coefficients ranging from 0.313 to 0.802. Overall, the study highlights the potential benefits of agricultural projects in improving the economic well-being of police households in Kampala Metropolitan Area. The study recommends that local government authorities, policymakers, and community-based organizations collaborate to support police households in Kampala Metropolitan Area in improving their economic well-being. This can be achieved by providing financial literacy programs, training on agricultural practices, and access to financial resources such as subsidies, low-interest loans, and microfinance products. Additionally, establishing partnerships between police households and agricultural extension services can facilitate access to resources, expertise, and markets, ultimately leading to increased household savings, income, consumption, and assets.
